Downstream launches marketplace for jobsite rentals

Downstream announced the launch of its rental marketplace, giving contractors and facility operators a single platform to source heavy equipment, dumpsters, portable toilets, fencing, storage containers, and mobile offices from vetted local suppliers.

Instead of calling supplier after supplier for quotes, businesses post one request and receive competing quotes from the network. Orders, documents, and invoices are consolidated in one place, and the platform charges no fees to renters.

"The rental industry still runs on phone calls and fax machines," said the Downstream founding team. "We built the platform we wished existed on our own jobsites: one request, competing quotes, and every document in one place."

The marketplace is live today with same-day self-serve onboarding for both renters and suppliers.
